i tried @WisprFlow but didn’t want my audio going to the cloud tried @openwhispr and it kinda sucked. then i bumped into Handy and it’s been really good. - open source free = runs locally on your own hardware - works on linux/windows/mac
Bad phrasing from my side. What I wanted to say was will it be quick? Main issues with OpenWhispr for me: slow startup, slow transcription, misses on ai cleanup (I use groq cloud). Got 16 gigs of ram, ryzen 5800h. Windows. Kinda old
